A 4-RBI performance from left fielder Sherry Magee, who is tied for 10th in the NL in triples with 4, led the Philadelphia Stars to a win over the Ottawa Mounties, 14-8. The Philadelphia win streak is now 5 games.

Charles Rogan had a big grand slam home run for the Stars in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Philadelphia leading 6-5 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Max Scherzer, the 5th overall pick in the 2000 draft, and swatted a home run to right. It was his 25th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Stars ahead, 10-5.

"I like the roll we're on," said Philadelphia manager Daniel Makonnen.
