|
San Francisco and Cleveland duked it out and the Sea Lions came out victorious.
The San Francisco Sea Lions defeated the Cleveland Spiders, 6-3, at Oracle Park. Leading the charge for San Francisco was shortstop Dick Lundy. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. San Francisco reliever Tim Hudson picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Sergio Romo absorbed the loss. Joe Nathan got the save, his 1st in 1 chances.
The Sea Lions got a big at-bat from first baseman Jack Clark. For the game, Clark was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 44th home run of the season gave San Francisco a 3-0 lead.
