Late Rally by Royal Giants Secures 6-4 Win
The Brooklyn Royal Giants stopped the Houston Colt 45s, 6-4, at Minute Maid Park. The Royal Giants got a big game from Duke Snider, who was 4 for 4 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 2 runs. Brooklyn used a timely hit from Mike Piazza to get the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Royal Giants ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Snider told the Brooklyn Herald.
