The Chicago American Giants beat the Miami Cuban Giants, 6-4, at South Side Park. Chicago center fielder Jake Stenzel collected 1 single and 1 double with 1 RBI. Chicago, at 64-76, holds down third place in the American League Cumberland Posey Division.

Chicago got a knockout punch from Dick Allen. The pinch hitter hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
