Black Sox Get Past Cleveland, 6-5
The Baltimore Black Sox downed the Cleveland Spiders, 6-5, in 13 innings. Curt Blefary led the way, going 3-for-5 for Baltimore. Baltimore reliever Mark Baldwin picked up the win, raising his record to 1-2. Whit Wyatt was tagged with the loss. Baltimore has now won 3 in a row.

Baltimore used a timely hit from Paul Blair to get the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the 13th inning to put the Black Sox ahead, 6-5. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

"It's nice to step up when your team needs you," said Blair.
