The Indianapolis ABCs beat the Wandering House of David, 5-3. Indianapolis pitcher and Washington, District of Columbia, native Guy White led the way. White, now 1-1, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 5, walking 0, and allowing 3 runs. Rob Dibble earned the save, his 4th.
The ABCs had to work out of trouble in the bottom of the ninth. The score was 5-3, Indianapolis, with no one out. Wandering, with a runner on 1st, was mounting a threat. Joe Harris dug in at the plate, but on a 2-2 fastball, he hit into a double play.
The win gives Indianapolis a record of 8-7.
