Not everyone stuck through the 35-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.

The San Francisco Sea Lions got a sterling performance from pitcher Tommy Bridges, but the Miami Cuban Giants still prevailed, 6-5. Bridges threw 6.0 innings of 5-hit ball. Miami reliever Adonis Terry picked up the win, upping his record to 7-2. Huston Street absorbed the loss. Ricky Nolasco was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 24 of 30 save opportunities.

Miami took control in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, Joe Adcock hit a run-scoring single to make it 5-4, Cuban Giants.

"They had a good approach," San Francisco skipper Daniel Makonnen said of the opposition. "Hats off to them."

At 73-75, the Cuban Giants are currently second in the American League Cumberland Posey Division.
