New York right-hander Pete Donohue pitched his team to victory over the Homestead Grays at Forbes Field. The final score was 9-3. The Gothams now own a record of 73-79.

New York used a clutch at-bat from Wally Berger to capture the win. The center fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Gothams ahead, 3-2. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Berger.
