Led by Mike Piazza, the Brooklyn Royal Giants defeated the Indianapolis ABCs, 6-4. Piazza went 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Royal Giants. The ABCs drop to 12-12 and continue their mediocre start to the 2001 season.

Brooklyn used a clutch at-bat from Duke Snider to capture the win. The designated hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Royal Giants ahead, 4-3. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"We came in and got the job done. That's what it's all about in this business," said Snider.
