Gothams Get Hard-Earned Win
The New York Gothams had to weather a strong performance from Philadelphia pitcher J.M. Ward before claiming a 1-0 win in 10 innings. Ward went 9 innings and allowed no runs. Robb Nen recorded his 6th save for New York. The win puts New York at 13-13.

Buster Posey came through with a big-time hit for New York. The catcher smacked a solo home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 1-0. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"It wasn't easy, but we got it done," said Posey.
