Monarchs Earn 7-6 Win Against Colt 45s
No one was more impactful than Albert Pujols in the 7-6 Kansas City win over Houston. Pujols, who is on pace for 113 RBI this season, went 4-6 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The triumph puts Kansas City at 22-14 for the season.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 12th. With one out, Pujols hit a fastball from Brad Lidge for a solo home run. The Monarchs, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"I'm as polite as the next guy," said Pujols. "But not when the game's on the line."
