Sea Lions Get Past Memphis, 3-2
|
The San Francisco Sea Lions faced a tough opponent in Memphis pitcher Bill Doak, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Oracle Park by a final score of 3-2 in 13 innings. Doak went 8 innings and allowed no runs. San Francisco raised its record to 26-17 with the win.
The Sea Lions got a clutch hit from center fielder Turkey Stearnes. In the bottom of the 13th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Sea Lions.
"The house was rockin'," said Stearnes.
