The 4-3 Miami win over Chicago was due in large part to Ryan Braun. The Cuban Giants left fielder was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Ricky Nolasco earned the save for Miami, his 7th of the year. With the win, the Cuban Giants improved to 21-22.

Miami used the timely hitting of Iván Rodríguez to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Cuban Giants on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I was just going up there trying to see good pitches, that was about it," said Braun.
