Lexington Thoroughbreds starter Charlie A Morton pitched a strong game against the Tampa Bay Tarpons at Whitaker Park, leading the Thoroughbreds to victory, 4-3. Lexington improves to 55-26 with the win. They lead their division by 9 games.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when Lexington first baseman Rob Deer, facing Justin Hampson, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Thoroughbreds the 4-3 win.

"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Tampa Bay skipper Travis Jackson.
