Boosted by the 2-hit performance of Larry Walker, who leads the NL in home runs with 20, the Ottawa Mounties defeated the Houston Colt 45s, 6-1. Ottawa pitcher Bill Smith got the win. He's now 4-1. Roy Oswalt was tagged with the loss. The win puts Ottawa at 22-22 this season.

With Ottawa leading 1-0 in the top of the third, Walker hit a curveball from Roy Oswalt for a 2-run home run. It was his 20th home run of the season and put the Mounties ahead, 3-0.

"It feels good to get this one," Walker told the Ottawa Gazette.
