Memphis third baseman Wade Boggs was instrumental in helping the Red Sox triumph, 11-10, over the Los Angeles Angels. Boggs went 3-4 with 3 doubles and a walk, while scoring 4 times and driving in 3. Len Barker, the winning pitcher, is now 2-6. He went 6 innings, allowing 6 runs on 7 hits, while fanning 3 and walking 2. Heath Bell sewed up the save, his 2nd.

With Memphis leading 2-1 in the bottom of the second, Boggs hit a slider from Gerrit Cole for a bases-clearing double. It was his 17th double of the season and put the Red Sox ahead, 5-1.

"It never gets old," said Boggs. "Winning, that is."

The win puts Memphis at 19-28.
