Wet weather did not postpone the Brooklyn-New York ballgame.

Brooklyn Royal Giants starter Dick Redding pitched a strong game against the New York Gothams at Polo Grounds, leading the Royal Giants to victory, 9-3. With the win, Brooklyn pushed its record to 95-59.

Early in the game, left fielder Roy White had a solo home run for Brooklyn. It was his 25th home run of the season and put the Royal Giants on top, 1-0.

"I liked his command," said Brooklyn manager Daniel Makonnen. "Dick was throwing strikes."
