Houston Colt 45s starter Stephen Strasburg turned in an exceptional performance against the Wandering House of David at Wrigley Field, resulting in a Houston win, 8-2. The winner was Strasburg. He threw 6.2 innings of 5-hit ball. The loser was Bob Rush. The win elevated the Colt 45s to 83-77.

Houston used a clutch at-bat from Casey Stengel to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Colt 45s ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"When you are able to locate the ball, good things are going to happen," said Strasburg.
