Valentine, Grasshoppers Get 4-2 Win

The Des Moines Demons and Greensboro Grasshoppers left the fans buzzing.
The Greensboro Grasshoppers got a stellar effort from pitcher Corky Valentine, helping Greensboro score a win over the visiting Des Moines Demons, 4-2. Ernie White recorded the save for Greensboro, his 9th of the season.
The Demons had little chance against Valentine, who overpowered Des Moines hitters and struck out 11.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Valentine said after the game.
The Grasshoppers bumped their record to 24-22 with this win.
