BOOM-BOOM-BOOM-BOOM! 4 HR for Doby
Cleveland Spiders right fielder Larry Doby totally decimated the Miami Cuban Giants, finishing with 4 home runs in his team's 13-7 win.

The Cuban Giants had no answer for Doby, who finished the day 4-for-4 with 7 RBIs and 4 runs scored.

"What can I say? My guys could've shot the ball out of a rifle and he'd probably hit them out anyway," said Miami skipper Daniel Makonnen. "There's nothing you can do when a guy gets in that kind of zone, you just hope he cools down some before you have to face him again."

When asked about his record performance, Doby responded, "After the first two I just tried to do everything the same way and it worked."

Larry Doby was hit by a pitch in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off José Méndez in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Eustaquio Pedroso in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Sandy Consuegra in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off Lefty George in the 9th.

In 139 games this season, Doby has batted at a .263 pace with 125 hits and 41 home runs.
