Marcos Deal Grasshoppers 1-0 Loss
|
The Dayton Marcos got a magnificent effort from pitcher Joaquin Andujar, who kept Greensboro hitters in check en route to a 1-0 Marcos win at Fifth Third Field. Dayton reliever John Boozer picked up the win, upping his record to 7-0. Aaron Poreda absorbed the loss. The win boosted Dayton to 30-30.
The Marcos procured the win, in large part because of center fielder Michael Bourn. In the bottom of the 12th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring double.
"You know what they say," Bourn told reporters after the game. "It ain't over 'til the fat lady sings."
