Peaches Handed 9-1 Loss by Omaha
|
A 3-RBI performance from Danny Litwhiler, who is on pace for 119 RBI this season, helped the Omaha Buffaloes beat the Rockford Peaches, 9-1. With the win, the Buffaloes improved to 41-42.
Litwhiler contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Omaha in the bottom of the first. With his team trailing 1-0, Litwhiler took a fastball from Henry Schmidt and stroked the home run to right-center. His 20th home run of the season allowed the Buffaloes to leap in front, 3-1.
"We're all about heart and hustle on this team. That's what wins ballgames," Litwhiler told the Omaha Times.
