Tight Tilt Goes to Diamond Dogs, 3-2

In a close game at Bleecker Stadium, the Albany Diamond Dogs edged the Des Moines Demons, 3-2. Albany third baseman Jim Ray Hart stood apart with his performance. He was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Picking up the win was Dallas Braden. He went 8 innings, allowing 2 runs on 8 hits. The left--hander struck out 5 and walked 1. Albany is in 5th place in the WBL Mid American INDY A - Northeast with a record of 40-42.
Hart had no bigger at-bat than in the bottom of the third when the 28-year old third baseman hit a 2-run home run. The home run gave Albany the lead, 3-1. It was his 20th home run of the season.
Hart was in a reflective mood after the contest. He told the Albany Observer, "Every game is it's own challenge. That's what keeps the competitive fire alive."
