With 8-2 Win, Grasshoppers Improve to 44-42
|
The Greensboro Grasshoppers picked up a win at World War Memorial Stadium, knocking off the Nashua Dodgers, 8-2. On the mound for Greensboro was right-hander Aaron Sanchez, who played a pivotal role in the win. Sanchez got the win, improving to 7-4. He allowed 4 hits and walked 5 over 7.2 innings. Sanchez allowed 2 runs. Greensboro now has a record of 44-42 with the win.
With no one out in the top of the eighth, Ken McMullen had a chance to do some damage. Nashua was trailing 8-1, but had the bases loaded. McMullen came to the plate against Aaron Sanchez, and hit a sacrifice fly. But it was not enough to complete a Nashua comeback.
