Witches Pick Up 1-0 Road Win Over Greensboro
|
Marc Hall pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Greensboro Grasshoppers, despite Hall's fine outing, dropped a 1-0 decision to the Wichita Witches at World War Memorial Stadium. Jim Brewer got the save, his 8th in 8 chances. Wichita, with the win, is 27-90.
Jimmy Outlaw had a productive at-bat for the Witches with one out in the top of the second. With a runner on 2nd, the third baseman hit a run-scoring single. The at-bat was important in the Wichita win.
Outlaw said he "would like to have scored more runs for Brewer. But we'll gladly take this win."
