Royal Giants Move on to Divisional Playoffs
The championship aspirations of the Brooklyn Royal Giants are still alive and well, while the Indianapolis ABCs are left to wait until next year.

Brooklyn won the clinching game of the Wild Card Round 7-1 over Indianapolis at Crosley Field, to win the series 4-1.

"You feel like a little kid again, celebrating something like this," said catcher Mike Piazza, who paced the Brooklyn offense and was named series MVP. "We take everything real seriously when we're on the field, but after a series is over you can finally relax a little bit."

Piazza claimed the MVP by racking up 8 hits for a .400 average, with a .409 on-base percentage. He had 5 home runs, 12 RBI and scored 5 runs.

The Brooklyn Royal Giants will play against the Houston Colt 45s in the next round. Houston won their series against the Philadelphia Stars 4 games to 1. The Divisional Playoffs schedule will be announced after the Wild Card Round finishes.
