Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Memphis Red Sox and Baltimore Black Sox.

The Memphis Red Sox grabbed a win, 5-4, over the Baltimore Black Sox at Fenway Park. Memphis designated hitter Manny Ramírez hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Memphis pitcher Armando Benitez got the win, upping his record to 1-0. Gregg Olson got the loss.

Memphis took a 5-4 lead on Reggie Smith's 3rd double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Smith hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Baltimore pitcher Gregg Olson visibly frustrated.

Memphis manager Daniel Makonnen commended his team for "doing what it takes to win."

The loss lowers the Baltimore record to 3-4.
