Spiders Earn 2-1 Win Versus Stars
The Philadelphia Stars went down to defeat to Pat Malone and his Cleveland teammates. The final score was 2-1 in favor of the Spiders. The victory gives Cleveland a record of 36-30.

Cleveland used the timely hitting of Peanuts Lowrey to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Spiders on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We'll just keep our nose to the grindstone," Lowrey told the Cleveland Bulletin.
