The Indianapolis ABCs earned a win at Ebbets Field, stopping the Brooklyn Royal Giants, 4-1. Starting pitcher Johnny Cueto played a big role in his team's success. Rob Dibble earned the save for Indianapolis, his 2nd of the year. Brooklyn falls to 4-2.

Oscar Charleston, who finished 3rd in the AL in triples with 12 last year, had a direct impact on the outcome. Charleston contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put Indianapolis up, 2-1.

"We did a lot of things right," said Charleston.
