The Lexington Thoroughbreds took the first game of the Round 2 in dramatic fashion today, topping the Tampa Bay Tarpons 4-3 in an extra-inning walk-off win. Thoroughbreds right fielder Mike W McCormick went 2 for 2 with 2 singles and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI.

The decisive at-bat for Lexington came with no one out in the bottom of the tenth. With a runner on 3rd, McCormick hit a run-scoring single for the walk-off win.

"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Tampa Bay skipper Travis Jackson.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Whitaker Park in Lexington.
