Harris, House of David Too Much for Mounties
|
The Wandering House of David beat the Ottawa Mounties, 13-4, at Hilltop Park. Wandering designated hitter Joe Harris had an outstanding performance. He was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 3. Wandering is off to a hot start at 5-2.
Wandering needed the clutch hitting of Richie Hebner to notch the win. The third baseman hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the House of David on top, 8-4. For the game, Hebner had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Hebner told the Wandering Citizen.
