Gregg Now 1-2 After Beating Mounties
New York pitcher Vean Gregg had a large part in his team subduing the Ottawa Mounties, 3-0. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the left-hander. Picking up the save was Brian Wilson. He's now 12 for 14 in save chances. The win elevated the Gothams to 44-42.

Gregg, a native of Chehalis, Washington, was dealing all game. He kept Ottawa hitters off-balance, while giving the Gothams 6.2 quality innings. Gregg threw 99 pitches, allowing 2 hits and striking out 9.

Gregg said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
