Young Fashions Shutout Against Cuban Giants
A masterful pitching performance carried the Cleveland Spiders to victory over Miami, 21-0. Cy Young held the Cuban Giants scoreless in a complete-game effort.

He permitted 7 hits, had 9 strikeouts, and allowed 1 walk.

"Young was sharp," Cuban Giants manager Daniel Makonnen said later. "We never did figure him out."

So far this season, Young has compiled a 9-3 record with a 4.37 ERA.
