The Birmingham Black Barons defeated the Ottawa Mounties by the score of 7-2, with the biggest share of the credit going to right fielder Hank Aaron. Aaron was 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Black Barons on the day. Kerry Ligtenberg got credit for the win, improving to 1-0.
