Reichardt Slugs 2 Home Runs, Grays Beat Mounties, 12-4
|
The home crowd had a good time watching the Ottawa Mounties and Homestead Grays get after it.
Rick Reichardt was a vital contributor to the 12-4 Homestead victory over Ottawa. The Grays left fielder was 2-5 with 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. The Homestead win streak is now 3 games.
With Homestead leading 1-0 in the bottom of the fifth, Reichardt hit a sinker from Chris Bosio for a grand slam home run. It was his 25th home run of the season and put the Grays ahead, 5-0.
"We did more than enough to get the win," said Reichardt.
