Royal Giants Get Hard-Earned Win
The Brooklyn Royal Giants cut down the New York Gothams by the score of 7-6 in 12 innings. Much of the credit went to center fielder John Briggs. Briggs slugged 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 2 for the Royal Giants. With the victory, the Royal Giants upped their record to 52-37.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 12th. With no one out, Briggs hit a fastball from Troy Percival for a solo home run. The Royal Giants, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Brooklyn manager Daniel Makonnen.
