Angels 4-2 Victors Over Cleveland

The Los Angeles Angels and Cleveland Spiders played an exciting game.
Los Angeles pitcher Vic Willis did his part in helping his team beat the Cleveland Spiders, 4-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. The win went to Julio Teheran in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Stew Cliburn took the loss.
Had Gene Tenace not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Tenace hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Angels.
"Vic was able to locate to both sides, up and down," said Los Angeles manager Daniel Makonnen.
Cleveland now has a record of 3-7.
