Miami and New York duked it out and the Cuban Giants came out victorious.

A good performance from right fielder José Canseco helped the Miami Cuban Giants defeat the New York Gothams, 10-7. Canseco hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Cuban Giants. Aroldis Chapman notched his 14th save in 16 chances.

Pete Runnels dealt the Gothams a blow in the top of the third. Batting with the bases loaded and Miami leading 5-4, Runnels hit a 2-1 fastball for a 2-run single.

"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager Daniel Makonnen.

The win has Miami at 35-57.
