Crosley Field was the site for National League action featuring the Indianapolis ABCs and Wandering House of David.

The Wandering House of David picked up a win at Crosley Field, downing the Indianapolis ABCs, 9-4. On the mound for Wandering was left-hander CC Sabathia, who played a pivotal role in the win. Sabathia, the winner, moves to 5-6. He threw 8 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 1 walk.

Elrod Hendricks had a big 2-run home run for the House of David in the top of the fourth inning. With Wandering trailing 3-2 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a fastball from Rube Foster, who is tied for 10th in the NL in quality starts with 10, and punished it. The result was his 14th home run of the season, which put the House of David on top, 4-3.

"We maximized our offense today," said Wandering skipper Daniel Makonnen. "That makes everyone's life easier."

The ABCs, now 49-49, have lost 6 in a row.
