NL Pitcher of the Month Goes to Dibble
Friday, June 1st , 2001
High pressure game situations don't seem to affect Rob Dibble, the bullpen ace of the Indianapolis ABCs. He regularly is put to the test and he regularly makes quick work of the opposition. In May, he was honored for his outstanding relief work. The National League presented the Pitcher of the Month trophy to him.
The ABCs reliever had 8 saves, pitched 11 innings, struck out 16 and walked 5 en route to a 2-0 mark and a 1.64 ERA.
Thus far this season, Dibble has registered 18 relief appearances, worked 17.2 innings, struck out 24 and issued 10 walks. He has 12 saves with a 3.06 ERA and a 2-1 won-lost mark.
