Plank Struts Stuff in Win Over Portland

The Portland Sea Dogs met their match today in San Francisco hurler Eddie Plank. He kept them guessing the whole game and spun a 3-hit shutout.
"He just worked us over," Portland skipper Daniel Makonnen said. "He probably didn't even need a shower after the game -- he barely worked up a sweat."
In the 4-0 victory, Plank whiffed 8 and gave up 4 walks.
In 14 starts this season, Plank has chalked up a 8-3 record and a 3.51 ERA.
