Harder Has Season End Saturday, June 23rd , 2001 Team officials for the Cleveland Spiders confirmed that a fractured elbow will force Mel Harder to miss the rest of the season. Harder sustained the injury on 06/20/2001. It remains to be seen who will replace Harder on the active roster. Harder has fashioned a 4-2 mark for the season, 4.12 ERA and thrown 67.2 innings in 10 starts. Opposing clubs are batting .236 against him. |
