Clemente Touches All the Bases, Hits for Cycle Wednesday, June 27th , 2001 Roberto Clemente of the Homestead Grays had an outstanding game against the Royal Giants. His 4-hit day included a cycle and 3 RBI as Homestead picked up a win, 13-3, at Ebbets Field. "My bat felt great, I was seeing the ball well and I found some gaps," he said. "As a hitter, it's all you can ask for." Roberto Clemente hit a two-run single in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Don Drysdale in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, tripled in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th.
