House of David-Sea Lions Swap: Grant for Beckwith Tuesday, July 10th , 2001 Everybody is overjoyed with a trade consummated today by the Wandering House of David and the San Francisco Sea Lions. In the deal Wandering got 19-year old minor league 3B John Beckwith and a 3rd round draft pick from San Francisco and dealt 21-year old SS Frank Grant to the Sea Lions. The general managers that made the swap are happy and the players are happy, too. One of the GMs commented, "This was a good swap for all concerned." For the year, Grant is batting .292 with 3 home runs, 12 RBIs and 28 runs scored. |
