Gothams Send Patek to Los Angeles Tuesday, July 10th , 2001 It has been in the rumor mill for several weeks, but today team officials for New York and Los Angeles confirmed an agreement. The Gothams dealt 26-year old minor league SS Freddie Patek, a 2nd round draft pick, and a 5th round draft pick to the Angels for 32-year old LF Don Buford. Buford on the season is batting .238 with 16 home runs. His totals include 36 RBIs and 61 runs scored. He has played in 80 games. |
