Charles Radbourn of the Ottawa Mounties toyed with the New York Gothams, as he shut them out, 10-0, at Polo Grounds. He was almost untouchable, twirling a 2-hitter with 8 strikeouts and 4 walks.
"I'm sweating now because it's hot in here," Radbourn said in the clubhouse after the game. "But it didn't even feel like I was sweating out there."
In 22 starts this season, Radbourn has notched a 10-7 record and a 5.92 ERA.
