Muñoz Sensational, 15 Ks Wednesday, August 22nd , 2001 Led by an outstanding performance from starter Joseíto Muñoz, the Portland Sea Dogs topped the Memphis Red Sox by a score of 8-2 at Griffith Stadium. The 20-year-old Muñoz brought his top game to the mound, striking out 15 batters while allowing 3 hits and giving up 1 walk. "He made a lot of good pitches out there," Red Sox manager Daniel Makonnen said. "He made some of our guys look bad. We didn't help matters, but we really have to give him credit -- he didn't make many mistakes." So far in 13 appearances this season, Muñoz has recorded 3 wins and sustained 2 losses.
