Philadelphia Celebrates Wild Card Win Wednesday, September 26th , 2001 Charles Rogan of the Philadelphia Stars said fighting for a playoff spot is an "absolute grind" in Whirled Baseball. The grind is now over, as the Stars have captured a wild card berth. "It's a weight off our shoulders and now we can exhale," said the starting pitcher. "It's hard to describe how much effort and focus goes into this." Team manager Daniel Makonnen believes his club has something to prove and they are looking forward to the postseason. |
