Title Captured - National League Marvin Miller Division Won by Houston Thursday, September 27th , 2001 The excitement in the room was obvious as the Houston Colt 45s players and coaches alike celebrated their National League Marvin Miller Division championship. "A lot of our guys have never been in this spot before," said starting pitcher Toad Ramsey. "Our team has never won a Round 3, but that's something we want to change this year." With a record of 82-76, the club has wrapped up the division for the 1st time. It will be a "sweet moment for our city and our fans" if the team can bring home a championship, said team owner Frank Keefe. |
