Players-Only Meeting 'Didn't Work': Bench Tuesday, October 2nd , 2001 Johnny Bench of the Indianapolis ABCs said a recent players-only meeting held by Shawn Boskie "didn't work" and may have been more of a distraction than anything. "We know we're not playing good baseball right now, we don't need to hear it from one of the players," he said. "I know Boskie means well, but I think there are probably some guys who are more upset now than they were before we had that meeting." |
