Portland, New York Agree to Swap Thursday, March 21st , 2002 The Portland Sea Dogs and New York Black Yankees have put the finishing touches on a deal that was weeks in the making. Portland will part with nothing, while the Black Yankees have dealt 20-year old minor league C Terry Humphrey. "This one took a while to figure out," said Portland general manager Daniel Makonnen. "We must have gone back to the drawing board five or six times over the past few weeks. I'm glad we finally got the deal done. I think it is a good one for both clubs." |
